Terms & conditions

The agreement, in plain English.

These terms apply when you book advertising space in Patch. They sit alongside our privacy policy. Nothing here removes your rights under UK consumer law.

Version 2026-10-v2 · Last updated 19 October 2026 · Patch Media Ltd, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

1.Who we are

Patch is a monthly local magazine published by Patch Media Ltd and delivered door-to-door in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. You can reach us any time at hello@trypatch.co.uk.

"You" means the business or person booking advertising space. "Membership" means a rolling monthly booking of an advertising slot.

Registered in England and Wales as Patch Media Ltd · Company number: [to be added on registration] · Registered office: [to be added on registration]

2.What you're buying

  • One advertising slot of the size you choose, in one edition of Patch, per monthly issue while your membership is active.
  • Placement within the magazine (which page, and where on the page) is at our editorial discretion unless we have agreed a specific position in writing.
  • You supply your own finished artwork. You keep full rights to it; we keep a copy on file so your advert can run again without you having to resend it.

3.Payment and billing

  • Prices are shown per month, in pounds sterling, and are inclusive of any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Membership is billed monthly from your booking date by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Bacs Direct Debit through our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • One payment covers one issue. If a payment fails, we'll retry and email you. If it stays unpaid, your slot may be released to another business for that issue.

4.Deadlines

  • Booking cutoff: 12:00 noon UK time on the 15th of the month. Book before it and you're in the following month's issue; after it, the issue after that.
  • Artwork deadline: your finished artwork must be with us by 12:00 noon UK time on the 20th of the month before the issue. If it isn't, your slot rolls into the next issue — your payment isn't lost.
  • Once an issue goes to print, changes are no longer possible for that issue.

5.Your advert content

By supplying artwork or advert content, you confirm that:

  • You own it, or have permission to use it, including any photographs, logos and fonts.
  • It is accurate, lawful, and complies with the UK Advertising Codes (CAP Code) and consumer protection law.
  • It isn't misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, or unsuitable for a magazine that lands in family homes.

We may decline or ask you to change any advert. Regulated sectors (for example financial services, gambling, alcohol, health claims) may need extra wording or evidence.

6.Distribution

We aim to deliver to every reachable household in the edition area each month. Delivery volumes are targets, not guarantees: households that opt out of leaflets, access problems, weather and postal disruption can all affect a small number of drops. We don't guarantee any particular level of enquiries, sales or response.

7.Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel your monthly membership at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future payments.
  • If you cancel before the booking cutoff for an issue you've paid for, we'll refund that issue. After the cutoff, the issue is already committed to print planning and isn't refundable.
  • If we fail to publish your advert in a paid issue because of our error, we'll either run it free in the next issue or refund it — your choice.

8.We keep your details on file

When you cancel, we deliberately keep your business details and your artwork so you can pick up exactly where you left off if you come back. You can ask us to delete them at any time — see the privacy policy for how, and for the records we must legally retain (such as invoices).

9.Community submissions

Stories, photographs, results and events sent through our submit form are offered for possible publication, free of charge. You confirm you have the right to share what you send and, where you tick the box, you give us permission to print it with a credit. We may edit for length, clarity and house style, and we can't promise publication or return of materials.

10.Liability

We'll always try to put things right. Where we are liable to you, our total liability for any issue is limited to the amount you paid us for the advertising affected. We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't lawfully be excluded. We aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost goodwill.

11.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example if we add a new edition or payment method. Each version is dated and numbered, and we record which version you agreed to when you ticked the box. Material changes will be emailed to active members before they take effect.

12.Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
